What is Health Coaching?
A health coach is a behavior change agent that helps clients set and achieve personalized health goals and build new habits. Coaching can include aspects of nutrition, sleep, movement, mindfulness, coping with illnesses, stress and much more.
The chronic disease epidemic sweeping our nation, and the world, is primarily driven by behavior and environment. This means that we have the power to prevent and even reverse chronic illness by incorporating healthier habits.
Although change can be a challenging process research shows it is made easier, and clients are more successful, with the support and guidance of a health coach. Partnering with a health coach helps clients find their own strategies, strengths and motivations for change. The coach is an accountability partner to help the client grow, gain confidence, feel empowered and reach their health goals.
